NRCrwtt Visits JECES for Johkasou Information

An observation team of North Research Center for Rural Wastewater Treatment Technology (NRCrwtt) from China visited JECES on 25 August.

NRCrwtt, which belongs to Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, China, established last December, is a research institution that specializes in rural wastewater treatment. The mission of NRCrwtt is to develop technologies and management systems suitable for rural wastewater treatment, to conducts strategic policy research to promote rural wastewater treatment and improvement of rural living environment.  


The observation team is invited by JECES to inspect johkasou system, a decentralized system for onsite wastewater treatment. “We want to learn something from the Japanese experiences on johkasou system”, said Prof. Liu, the leader of the team.
During the visit, the observation team at first paid a courtesy call to the president of JECES, then received a short lecture about johkasou system and had a discussion with the researchers of JECES.

The observation team has a tight schedule that includes visiting johkasou-related organizations, factories, institutions, and johkasou facilities during their stay in Japan.
