Background and Objectives
2nd Training course of capacity building (FY 2022)
According to the “6th Vietnam - Japan Environmental Policy Dialogue (dated 24th and 25th August 2020)”, both Ministries (Ministry of the Environment Government of the Japan (MOEJ) and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, Vietnam (MONRE) reaffirmed the importance of wastewater treatment in attaining Goal 6.3. of Sustainable Development Goals, acknowledged the role Johkasou plays with satisfying the wastewater regulation, and agreed on further cooperation towards expansion of decentralized wastewater Treatment in rural areas in Viet Nam for clean and safe water.
Based on this, MOEJ and MONRE held the “Training course of capacity building” in FY 2021 which aims to disseminate the idea and concept of the Japanese decentralized wastewater treatment “Johkasou system” in Vietnam. both Ministries will hold the 2nd Training course of capacity building on 8th November, 2022. This time, according to the request from MONRE, MOEJ will share the experiences on how have implemented decentralized wastewater measures in Japan by utilizing the Johkasou. Also, current activities of Japanese Johkasou manufacturing companies, and challenges found through the JICA project in Hung Yen Province will be introduced.
